Bike Ban

How's this for insanity:

"...... school district officials told Kaddo Marino that Adam was violating school rules by biking to class. Walking to the school also is not permitted."

The Marinos are practising some civil disobedience by cycling to school in defiance of the Saratoga Spring School Board's ban on riding, and even more bewilderingly, walking, to school. Obviously it's been many years since I was at school, but I can't imagine having been dropped off or taking the bus to school, by law, and the thought of non-existent bike racks, or not hanging around the local shop on the ride home is incomprehensible. Either I'm getting old, or the world is going insane. Or both.

I love many areas of the States (including Saratoga Springs: I crashed in the college there for a few days) and have many friends there, but sometimes, like here, the backwards nature comes out!
