The L 40 Chair by Geoffrey Lilge, made from solid maple and bendywood, seems to be a triumph of wooden craftsmanship, all the blended joins and curves flow together nicely within the geometric form.
There are two versions of it I'd like to see; in bare timer, with a light oil/wax; and upholstered or with fabric sling surfaces, the frame looks so delicate with out the panels:
