that was sad and all, but dude you can't mention hitchhikers or dogs for that matter without elaborating...

Nawww...someone's sounding a bit sentimental ;)

Punk: The dogs were also hitch-hiking. The first hitchers [really nice guy and girl] I piked up in roughly central california on the coast and took them around 100mi to Big Sur.
The next two were a pair of 18yo gutter-punk girls with their requisite dogs, I only took them about 50mi to their friends: another 2 girls with a dog each.

Ouistiti: Yeah, maybe a little.
Great profile pic by the way!

Nice shirt!

When are you back? Everyone's getting roadbikes now.

That shirt was unfortunately left in Oakland, but it's whereabouts are know and hopefully I'll see it again someday. I've gained some other nice one since, all polo though.
"When will I be back?" good question. My visa was only stamped upon re-entry yesterday so I got a extra 3 weeks on my visa, so in theory I can be here for 12 months more!
Road bikes hey? Thats great, anything with 2 wheels is a good thing. I rode a Bullit cargo recently, so cool!
I'm itching to build a nice city bike here, single, decent brakes, rack, full guards. I'm sick of being wet! Actually I'm just really keen to get a set of 700s of any description!

Nope, no AZ this time, I checked the canyon, Pheonix and flagstaff years ago. If I'd made it out there I would certainly have been hitting you up for the local knowledge.
Next time. I still need to see the south east so another trip might be on the cards one day.
