Anyone with a penchant for lingistics will appreciate Save the Words. It's a depository for interesting but nearly extinct words with a brief description of each word, and if you should take a particular liking to a word or two, you can choose to adopt them and pledge to use them as often as possible.
The last bit is a little naff, but it's an interesting site and concept.

yep, i've got the emails (well all the ones i've recieved anyway), i thought i had replied to most. Only had email at work the last few days so have been brief with the net.
