Jean Prouve Chair

The angles, the colours, the cross sections, they're all just spot on.

There's something intriguing about a well designed chair; probably due to the same reason we relish in the beauty of a particularly nice car or any other every day object.

Incidentally there are a number of 'famous' chairs at the Melbourne Museum, if you got a chance to see them when you were here.

There is real beauty in any object that is simple, functional, and graceful and the chair is the Holy Grail of furniture designers.
The permanent design collection in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC includes everything from a Bic pen to a Bell helicopter.
I'll be sure to check out the Melbourne ones next time I get over there.

I'm always curious about how people find this blog!
